Team Fortress 2 was the successor to the former Co-Op Champions Team Fortress. This tag team is comprised of The Pyro and The Heavy, who replaced his fellow RED Team member The Scout. This partnership lasted only a short time, with the team dissolving with Pyro's retirement from the VGCW.

In Team Fortress 2[]

In the late 1960s, Reliable Excavation Demolition (along with its bitter rival, Builder's League United) had nine mercenaries working for them, each specializing in a different field of combat. This included classes such as The Heavy Weapons Guy, The Pyro, and The Scout. The RED team and their BLU enemies fought many bloody battles while a neutral woman known as The Administrator watched and shouted at them over a loudspeaker for some reason.

The mercenaries suddenly lost their jobs when the feuding companies' founders and CEOs, Redmond and Blutarch Mann, were murdered by their brother Gray in the Alamo. They briefly defended weapon and hat supplier Mann Co from Gray, and then retired.

Recently, members of RED Team has been spotted in multiple activities, including Go-Karting with Sonic the Hedgehog, Poker games, and defending random towers from mythical creatures. Most recently, both members of the team have found themselves at odds in a competition for new tools to murder other mercenaries with, creating campaigns which have managed to split the RED and BLU teams in half... again.

In VGCW[]

Itching to get back into the Co-Op Division a year after his partner The Scout was released, The Pyro recruited another member of RED Team in The Heavy to form the successor to Team Fortress. Dubbed Team Fortress 2, they, along with Heavy's making first appearance in VGCW, made their debut on Christmas Eve against recent newcomers The Dragons. Landing a low blow to Billy Lee, his brother was too slow to stop the Referee from counting to 3, giving Team Fortress 2 a successful debut.

Returning on 2014-01-07, Team Fortress 2 was set to face The Saiyans. What looked to be an easy match to the mercenaries turned into their first loss, as an unsuspecting Pyro tagged in his partner, allowing Vegeta to unleash a flurry of punches and pin the Heavy Weapons Guy.  In the end, TF2 had to tip their hats to the Saiyans, who would later go on to face the reigning champs, but would fail.

Later in Season 7, it was reported that Pyro had injured himself (possibly from his fire-making antics) and was unable to compete. The tag team is temporarily permanently out of action, due to Pyro's recent retirement. The Heavy, originally a Co-Op exclusive wrestler, has been shifted to the singles division as a result.
