In the Portal FranchiseEdit
The Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System (known as GLaDOS for short) oversees a series of testing at Aperture Science's laboratories. She is defeated by Chell in the first Portal, revived in Portal 2, put into a potato battery shortly after, and then promptly regains control of the facility and kicks Chell out at the end of the single player story. She then begins using the Co-Op robots ATLUS and P-Body for continued portal testing.
GLaDOS is known for her lack of sympathy for test subjects and her love of deadly neurotoxin. She's also the mind of Aperture President Cave Johnson's assistant Caroline transplanted into a computer, or something.
Season 5: The SurpriseEdit
GLaDOS debuted at Breakdown F.I.V.E. as the new assistant to the general managers. Samus Aran and The Saint had both realized that their duties as General Managers had gotten in the way of their career of actually wrestling, so Samus put up an application for a new position as supervisor of the wrestling matches while they tried to build their career. GLaDOS saw the application and became overjoyed at the possibility of new test subjects to work with, so she signed up for the job almost immediately. Given her rather precarious position in relation to the ring, she will not be wrestling anyone and is instead simply an observer.
In an unrelated story, Chell seemed to disappear from the building around the same time Season 6 debuted, but we'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say it was a coincidence.
Season 6: Wres Chamber 01 Edit
As the new supervisor for the WVGCW, GLaDOS was given creative freedom as to the environment of the wrestling matches, so she decided to redesign the arena to look more like the Test Chambers that she was familiar with. Unlike her fellow GMs, GLaDOS seems to prefer getting straight to the action, as her first match of the season conveniently demonstrated. While The Saint and Samus decided to take their sweet time explaining the circumstances behind the whole hiring process, GLaDOS simply made her piece and let the rest of the competitors in the six-man match enter to fight.
